Remember CA Chrome? He’s still going!

California Chrome came off his disappointing loss at the Belmont with a good run in the Breeder’s Cup Classic, then an impressive win on the turf. He tried running in Europe, but could not pull off a win. He then had an injury, so his owners decided to retired him to stud. Shortly thereafter, in a surprise decision, DAP Racing sold Chrome to Taylor Made Farm. The new owners decided instead of retiring him, they would let him heal up and continue racing. Fortunately, his original trainer, Art Sherman, was able to continue training him. He had been heartbroken when the champion was moved to Europe, and now his favorite horse was back in his barn. Once Chrome’s cannon bones healed, he went back into training and then impressively won a recent Grade I race in California. Read more on the continuing saga.
